Mouse News Round-up for 10/18/10

Ah, news! Last week, Epic Mickey painted up a show at New York Comic-Con. A report from the show stated that the game's finishing cutsceane is an emotional, end that made a tear shed from Warren Spector. It will be fun to see what that end is when the game ships Nov. 30th. Also, some of the Mickey Mouse Works shorts are now on the web, including Mickey's Cabin, my fave. One of the shorts in the Mickey to the Rescue series that I talked about in my 2nd post appears as well. Lastly, the first in a series of novels starring Mickey by Yours Truly got in the writing process last week. The books are titled The Dark Kingdom and put Mickey on a quest to save Disney Parks. The first book is slanted for release on Dec. 14, 2011. Details to follow. Also on Epic Mickey, new art from the graphic novel appeared today via the game's Facebook page. See Ya Real Soon!

Spotlight On Saving

Back in the day, there were some some shorts where Mickey would save Minnie from Pete. Pete would use gadgets to try and stop him. One time it was a moving staircase, another time a cannon, and one more that I forget. Sadly, these like lots of others can't be foud. Hope they come to DVD! Big post on Wed. See Ya Real Soon!

A look back at Runaway Brain

Since this is my first post, it seemed clear to me that I should do it on The Mouse's most recent short. So Mickey has forgotten his and Minnie's anniversary. Minnie sees a Hawaii ad in the news and she thinks Mickey is taking her there. To earn the money, Mickey responds to an ad in the paper ends up having his brain switched with a monster. This short is funny, with a bit of horror. It's on Google, so you should be able to find it. See Ya Real Soon!
